Fifty-four contenders duked it out yesterday at Xfinity Live!‘s Burger Brawl, with Village Whiskey emerging as the judges’ pick for best burger.

Village Whiskey’s “Frenchy” slider burger consisted of a beef patty with Gruyere cheese, black truffle aioli and a Cabernet grilled onion on a toasted bun. The burger is typically served as a February burger-of-the-month staple for the restaurant. Voting was conducted by 30 panelists (disclosure: one from PhillyVoice) who selected their favorite burgers in a three-round blind tasting.
