The Fund is proud to be a part of the community that helped the School District of Philadelphia execute their most successful Back to School Bus Tour yet! In addition to $2,500 from the Fashion District, we raised $175,000 from the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, Independence Blue Cross, and Keystone Family Health Plan to fund this year’s Back to School Bus Tour.
Over 200 volunteers and street team members dedicated their time and energy to making the event possible. A whopping 16,500 backpacks full of school supplies were provided to 13,000 families, helping students start the new year off right. Plus hundreds of immunizations and physicals were administered, to ensure that students are healthy and ready to learn. We thank all of the donors for their generosity and helping make a difference in the lives of these deserving students. We’re excited to do it again next year!
