Based on the latest research on effective reading instruction, Read to Succeed programming has a proven track record of increasing literacy among public school children. Read to Succeed provides leading-edge instructional programming; free literacy workshops for families and caregivers; and grade-level and culturally appropriate reading materials to children throughout the summer months.
Support Read to SucceedAcross the nation, school districts are grappling with a significant teacher shortage, making it increasingly difficult to attract and retain talented educators dedicated to inspiring the next generation. While there is no shortage of individuals passionate about teaching, there remains a critical lack of financial support necessary to ensure our educators:
The Fund launched the Teacher Appreciation Fund to help recruit and retain educators committed to improving outcomes for Philadelphia’s public school children. This flexible funding source supports new teacher credentialing, professional development opportunities, stipends for extra-curricular work, merit-based awards, retention bonuses for tenured education professionals, and more.
With the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, your business can make a substantial impact in the education of Philadelphia’s public school students at a nominal out-of-pocket cost, while benefiting from a tax credit of up to 90% of your contribution.
